I use this blog to argue for atheism, libertarian free will, and objective morality using philosophical reasoning. I also have an interest in the history of philosophy, particularly early modern philosophy, and Ayn Rand’s philosophy of Objectivism.

  1. Thanks for following my blog.

I will come here from time to time to look at the arguments or seek clarification where I have difficulty in understanding a philosophical essay or thought.

  2. I came to your blog because I liked your style on CARM Forums but have found CARM to be rather limiting because many appear to be protecting a favorite belief system without necessarily supporting it logically. Atheist appear to be very good at doing that very thing. Christians hide behind their view of “faith” way too often. I find discussions using Scripture verses that can usually be twisted to fit a particular view to be generally unproductive. On CARM I have been accused of not using Bible verses enough.

You do use language that I sometimes have to read a few times to grasp your meaning. Your first comment to my post on CARM (as a newby) stated that “the koan of atheist was proving a negative”. I had never seen the word “koan”, it was late at night, I looked it up, and then responded. I saw the remark as ambiguous and took it to be directed at me. I must have been mulling it over during the night because when I awoke the next morning, I immediately thought the remark was directed at atheists. Too late.

It is my hope to have more expansive, and hopefully, productive discussion with you through your blog.

  3. Interesting blog. I enjoy your thoughts and agree with you on a number of matters. Not all, perhaps, but some of the more important ones for sure.
